This little Mini turned out Delightful!
I forgot I even had this treasure. When I was rearranging my bin drawers after installing a new table and bookshelf, I found this little UFO that has been hiding from me for quite some time, in pieces. *wink*
I worked on it a bit Monday, and finished this project Last night after work… It is 14 ½ inches square and I used up a little more of my stash to put it all together. Pleased to work a bit more on my FMQ, I didn’t try my leaves, too nervous still, but did some tight stippling around all the stars and then a 1/8 of an inch off the center squares. It is now a fun little centerpiece for my Kitchen Table.
I like Seeing Stars while sitting at my table.
Here’s how I put it together…
This little Mini is easy to make…
You will need:
(9) 2 ½ inch squares for center squares
Your background fabric will be
(4) 1 ½ inch squares
(4) 2 ½ x 1 ½ inch squares
and your star points are
(8) 1 ½ inch squares per star.
Use your basic flying geese instructions to make your star points. Once my flying geese were made, I laid out my block, and put it together similar to a typical 9patch formula. 🙂 Not too difficult at all. If you have questions at all, please let me know. I made this on the fly, so I don’t really have any written instructions But will be happy to answer any questions that you have.
